By air
Zürich's International Airport connects Switzerland with all corners of the world. It is served by more than 70 carriers operating scheduled services to more than 100 destinations.
Apart from the network carrier Swiss, British Airways, Lufthansa and Air France are the most important airlines represented at Zürich Airport.
However, Zürich is also an attractive location for low cost carriers. Airlines such as Helvetic Airways, Air Berlin and Germanwings fly to Zürich Airport several times a day.
From Zürich airport it is only a 10 minute train ride to the city, one-way ticket costs 6 CHF. If you prefer to take a taxi, you will be set back for whopping 50 CHF!
By train
More than 1900 trains halt at Zürich's centrally located main station every day. Direct and frequent services to all large Swiss cities and major European cities enable passengers to reach their destinations quickly, easily and in comfort.
On 1 July 2007 Zürich was included into TGV fast train network - you can now travel between Paris and Zürich in 4h 35min.
