By air
Small Mactan-Cebu International Airport is located on Mactan Island. A taxi ride from Mactan-Cebu International Airport to the centre of Cebu City takes about half an hour. International flights to Mactan-Cebu International Airport include:

You can get from Mactan-Cebu International Airport to the centre of Cebu City by cab. You will notice yellow cabs right at the exit from the terminal building. These are fixed-price taxis which take you to any hotel in Cebu City. The advantage of yellow taxis is that they offer a hassle-free journey to the city; the downside is that they are almost twice as expensive as normal (white) taxis. That is if you do not get cheated by the latter.
If you wish to try your luck with white taxis, turn right after exiting the terminal building, and then turn left to cross the road at the pedestrian crossing. Go up the short staircase and after about 20 metres you will get to another road where normal (white) taxis stop. If they refuse to go by the meter, haggle for the price or take another taxi. Some drivers are very pleased if you demand that they turn on the meter and promise to give them 50 to 100 pesos tip in the end. Of course you need to keep the promise.
