Boracay restaurants

Boracay restaurant

Seafood on Boracay Island.

Food on Boracay is probably the most expensive in the Philippines but its quality is much higher too. Boracay is popular among Japanese and Korean tourists (some locals call it Korealand) who always search for good food so restaurants on Boracay had to adapt to their taste in order to survive. Despite this fact, we did not dare to try sushi and sashimi (we lack trust in Filipino hygienic standards), but we did enjoy many tasty, fresh and skilfully prepared Filipino and international cooked dishes. None of the restaurants we tried stood our of the usual Boracay standard, thus we suggest you simply take a walk along the White Beach and pick your place.

Many restaurants on Boracay offer all you can eat dinners where you can eat to your heart's desire for a fixed price of 5-10 €. All you can eat dinners usually consist of various seafood, rice and noodles. It is not a bad idea to be careful in these restaurants as many of them, in order to attract guests, spread out their seafood on trays in front of the restaurants very early. By the time you eat, the seafood might not be fresh anymore. Use your eyes and your nose and decide whether you would like to eat at a particular place.

Getting a cold beer or a cocktail after dinner is not a problem on Boracay at all. White Beach is dotted with dozens of bars, many of them offering happy hours early in the evening, when you normally get two drinks for the price of one. Most bars on Boracay close around midnight, whereas a few (open-air) discos continue pumping until the wee hours of the morning.
