By Air
Budapest is well connected to the rest of Europe. Major European airlines such as Austrian, Lufthansa, Swiss, Alitalia and of course Hungarian national carrier Malév fly to Budapest several times per day.
Budapest is also served by low-cost airlines such as Wizzair, Ryanair and Easyjet.
For complete list of airlines serving Budapest and schedules visit Budapest Airport website.
By train
Direct trains connect Budapest with cities in all neighbouring countries. You will arrive to one of the three Budapest's main train stations: Nyugati, Déli or Keleti. All the stations are directly connected to Budapest metro system. Hungarian trains are not particularly luxurious so bring some snacks and drinks if you plan to make a longer journey - there might be no food and drinks available in a train. For schedules visit Hungarian Railways website.
