The first and most important rule to follow when it comes to travel medicines is: bring all the medicines that you are taking regularly and might not be available at the destination.
Other medicines you might want to consider bringing include:
- painkillers
- products to relieve diarrhoea, constipation, motion-sickness, itching,
sunburn, inflammation
- first aid kit (plasters, thermometer - Mercury thermometers are not
allowed by airlines!, bandages, scissors)
- antiseptic cream for small scratches and wounds (those get easily infected
in tropical climates)
- contraception
