Hungarian tourism board has chosen rather provocative way for promoting Lake Balaton. They published on the Internet an animation of a couple having rough sex in a boat on Lake Balaton. Not only that the animation is pretty explicit, it becomes evident at the end that the male star of the animation is actually married to another woman. Ooops!
Barbara Dani, managing director of Lake Balaton regional tourism office said that she doesn't find the animation immoral, as it only brings back the memories of the events that are likely to happen to tourists at Lake Balaton.
No kidding!
As for morality of the animation, let yourself be a judge. We find this type of tourism promotion idiotic, despite the fact that it works (at least on the Internet). The number of visitors of Balaton tourism promotion website jumped 300 percent shortly after the animation went online.
There is no data whether the number of tourists looking forward for adventurous holidays spiced-up by some adultery at Lake Balaton increased as well. Neither there is any data whether the families with kids (who even used to bring along a granny or two) are now avoiding Lake Balaton as hell.
